Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2019 Strathearn Art Walk. We hope that the experience is a valuable one for you.

This information is subject to change.  Please check back here for the most up-to-date information.

The Strathearn Art Walk takes place on the parkland along Strathearn Drive between 89 and 91 streets.

Artist Spots

  • Each artist spot is 10’ x 10’ and will be marked with spray paint on the ground.

  • For an additional fee ($15), your spot can be equipped with a 6’ long x 2’-6” wide folding plastic table and 1 folding chair.

  • All other display items are the responsibility of the artist/vendor.

  • There are no tents available.

  • Every tent/shelter or tarpaulin must conform to CAN/ULC S-109, “Flame Test or Flame Resistant Fabrics and Films.”

  • Artists should bring items such as string, tape, scissors, binder clips, clamps or weights in order to secure their materials. Any materials, stands or tents must be securely fastened to the ground.

  • There is no fencing or other apparatus nearby to use for hanging. Artists may bring additional tables, easels, panels, dividers, crates, chairs, etc. as needed to display their items.

  • The ground may be uneven and it may be difficult to stand an easel or display.

Other Things to Note

  • Artists should bring their own items to process payments (cash box, credit card reader or receipt book).

  • There will be an ATM available on-site, with applicable service fees.

  • Prepare for the weather: Strathearn Art Walk will proceed no matter what. Rain or shine.

  • There is no power available on-site. Please ensure any powered devices are fully charged before the event.

  • We will not be able to provide any WiFi on-site.

  • There will be a photographer on-site to take photos for use in Art Walk promotion.

  • Please note the City of Edmonton does not allow vehicles to drive on parkland.

Arrival and Setup

The week before Art Walk, you'll receive an email from us, providing your zone colour and spot number. Please keep this information as you will need it when you arrive at site on Sept. 7.

  • Please arrive at the site between 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. to begin setting up. See map below for more details.

  • You must approach the west gate to the site, from 92 street.

  • Strathearn Drive (the main road south of the site) is closed. Artists will be let in, at the west gate ONLY, to unload.

  • When you arrive and park in the Artist Unloading Zone, please proceed directly to your colour zone and locate your spot. Volunteers will assist you locating your number. If you have questions, or cannot find your spot, ask one of our check-in volunteers in a yellow shirt, or go to the info tent.

  • A limited number of carts and dollies are available to borrow, to assist you with unloading. These are on a first come first served basis.

  • We recommend you bring a friend or family member to help you unload and set up quickly to help your morning run smoothly.

  • Once finished unloading, you must move your vehicle. Park in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (9010 – 85 Street) parking lot, this lot is reserved for artist parking.

  • The Artist Express Shuttle picks up from the northeast corner of the church parking lot and brings you to the northeast corner of the Art Walk site. The shuttle will run every 10 minutes during both set up and tear down.

  • Vehicles left within the closed area reserved for artist unloading may be ticketed and/or towed.

  • We do not recommend parking in the neighbourhood. There are many closures and very few parking areas, and we want customers that buy art to be able to pick up larger pieces if they choose. We also need to maintain access for emergency vehicles to the site and neighbourhood.

  • All artists/vendors should be set up and ready to go by 12 p.m.
